SDSN Youth (SDSN Association)
Worldwide, Remote
The UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) has been operating since 2012 under the auspices of the UN Secretary-General. SDSN mobilizes global scientific and technological expertise to promote practical solutions for sustainable development, including the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Paris Climate Agreement.
The SDSN Youth is an initiative of the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN). It was launched in 2015 with a mission to empower youth globally to create sustainable development solutions.
At SDSN Youth, we empower young people to take meaningful action on the Sustainable Development Goals. By joining our global team, you will be working with a diverse and exceptional group of individuals with a variety of cultural, religious and political backgrounds, committed to sustainable development.
The Membership Program
The Membership Program, which is part of the Global Networks Team, is a youth-led and youth-focused network of +780 member organizations, based in more than 127 different countries, that encourages engagement and collaboration on sustainability issues. It gives member organizations access to research, business development resources, and events, exposing them to a community of global experts, business leaders, and peers.
The program’s pillars:
By empowering youth-led and youth-focused organizations, the program accelerates solutions towards sustainable development goals.
Through networking and collaboration, member organizations are able to connect with their peers at an international level and benefit from peer-to-peer learning.
The program prioritizes education and resources to drive change towards a sustainable future through high-level business-oriented skills such as fundraising, project management, and leadership.
Role
The Community Engagement Project Officer role will work closely with the team members of the Membership Program (Deputy Project Lead and Project Officers), with possible collaboration with the Network Coordinators, to execute the agenda of the Membership Program.
